The University of Sharjah (UoS) is a private urban non-profit institute of higher education founded in 1997 that is located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The non co-educational university caters to both national and international students with graduate and postgraduate programs accredited in the UAE (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research).

The University of Sharjah is situated in the University City Sharjah, which also contains the American University of Sharjah, Sharjah Higher Colleges of Technology, and Sharjah Police Academy, and is in close proximity to the Sharjah International Airport. The 2 million square meters (21.5 million square feet) campus has sports (indoor and outdoor), laboratory, and library facilities. Its standard academic year comprises of the fall (August) and spring (January) semesters, while it has one summer session (June). The main language of instruction is English, but its faculties of Sharia, Islamic Studies, Humanities and Social Studies are in Arabic.
